Ok. We are wanting as many points as we can in the competition so we have decided to construct our own wheels. We are making 3 types of wheels and will choose the best out of the three. We are making them from Steel, Aluminium and Wood. We are about, as I type this, to decide which wheel is the best. When we decide we will write it at the end of this post. Thank you also as an extra to all our sponsors. We wouldn’t have made it this far without you and your generous donations.
We have decided to start with testing Aluminium. We are not sure whether this will be our final decision yet but we will think on it. At the moment the team are cutting the Aluminium into smaller slices to make wheels. Keep watching for more info.
We have now sent a second batch of letters regarding sponsorship to several different local buisnesses. I wrote the leters on the computers and are being posted this week.
“Hope we get a reply this time”Jake
I am now delighted to inform all of our readers that we got sponsored £200 by Bosch Rexroth Ltd. Glenrothes. It is our first sponsor (not including the one that supplied the website) and I hope to be posting on this post again soon
We have now manufactured our second prototype car which was designed by Jake Stewart and manufactured by both Murray Short and Ryan Patterson. The next thing for our team to do is to test both of our prototype cars on the track and see which one is fastest and work on that cars designs.
unfortunally we realised we had not finished the second car and so we were trying to cut out the top part of the car when the machine done what it done to the first car and cut a huge chunk out of the back of the car was cut into and destroyed
Our car is almost made but when it was being made the personel that were making the car typed in the wrong coding into the machine and the back of the car got destroyed!!!!!!!! We are quite dissapointed at the recent turn of events.
Our first car is about to be made! The team is really excited about it. We are using Johns car design idea. Hopefully it will go well!
we have manufactured both of the final car designs and they are working very well we are now onto working on wheels
Hello, My name is John McCallum my main priority is to design cars that might get us to Glasgow.I also help find sponsorships and help Jake with the software (PTC pro desktop) that we use to design the cars.
Hi, I’m John McCallum, Team Manager so ask either me, Matthew Bain or Jake Stewart if you need any help. Please do not spam with comments or add annoying links as it just wastes our time removing them!
Just a quick note to all of our readers, If you would like more information on a specific topic please do not be afraid to let us know… after all we are happy to help
